ABSTRACT
The most frequent vector borne illness in the country is Lyme disease, which iscaused by Borrelia burgdorferi and is mainly spread by Ixodes scapularis, or thedeer tick. Nearly 90% of people with symptomatic infection experience its mostcommon manifestation, an erythematous migrans rash that is characterised by itsexpansion and is occasionally accompanied by myalgia, arthralgia, and malaise.Aseptic meningitis, arthritis, and palsy of the seventh cranial nerve are furthersymptoms of Lyme disease. A great deal of fear about Lyme disease has beencaused by extensive press coverage of its serious symptoms, which isdisproportionate to the real morbidity that the disease causes. he frequent use ofserological testing to rule out the diagnosis of Lyme disease in individuals with justnonspecific symptoms (such fatigue or arthralgia) who have a very low probabilitythat Lyme disease is the source of their symptoms exacerbates this issue. As aresult, incorrect diagnosis occurs frequently and is the main reason why treatmentsdon't work. Based on symptoms treatment was given that is symptomatic treatmentwas given. For the majority of people with Lyme disease, the prognosis is positive.
